There are many ways to explore the Rhine River, as Rudy will show you. Prior to setting sail on the river, though, take a cablecar ride over the region’s vineyards, and end up at the Niederwald Monument (aka Niederwalddenkmal). Once on the Viking Danube, a boat apart of the Viking River Cruise Company, riverside villages, towns, castles, and historic sites that overlook the mighty river.
One of California’s original twenty-seven counties, El Dorado is the undisputed home of the Gold Rush, and, possibly the home of the American vineyard too, with vines dating back to 1849.
