Visit the Convent of Las Descalzas Reales (aka Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales) where many great works of art by such artists as Titian and Paul Rubens adorn the walls. The Royal Tapestry Factory was created by King Philip V in order to satisfy the demand for fine tapestries and rugs. Francisco Goya spent two decades here creating drawings that were then transformed into fine tapestries.
